This facility was built as a memorial to the victims, to preserve for future generations what Soma City looked like before it was hit by the tsunami and to encourage interaction between visitors. Visitors can see disaster-related photographs, footage of the tsunami and more.This brewery in the Miyakoji-machi of Tamura City uses hops grown by local contract farmers. In addition to practising AFFrinnovation (sixth sector industrialisation of agriculture, forestry and fisheries), or sixth sector industrialisation, which integrates primary to tertiary sectors, it also practices “zero industrialisation”, where materials that would otherwise be discarded are returned to nature.This company, which is committed to post-disaster revitalization, new agricultural challenges and local regeneration initiatives, was established with the goal of producing wine from locally harvested grapes. In the spring of 2021, it completed its first wine made from local grapes.This multi-purpose disaster prevention storage warehouse was constructed based on the lessons learned from the disaster. In addition to storing blankets, water, rice and other emergency supplies, the facility is also equipped with solar panels, emergency generators, a helipad for emergency take-off and landing, and more. Established in Okuma Town in 2018, this company grows and sells strawberries in a solar-powered factory with a cultivation area of 2.2 hectares. The company acquired GLOBALG.A.P certification in 2019 and is working towards agricultural regeneration. This facility is designed to ensure that the memories and lessons of the disaster are passed on to future generations through disaster-related materials, videos, panel displays, storytelling and so on.
